[Spike - A Love Story]

It's a great game

Not bad, this is an awesome game, it's fun and simple in that it only uses one button. the game progresses well and the character challenges your reflexes in a number of ways. It's pretty fun to see the spike traps view of things this time around.

Cool game

This game was pretty good actually, it had a nice 8-bit style, and it was fun to play. My only complaint is it is somewhat hard to get power ups, I touched them but sometimes it didn't count it. The game is overall pretty short but still fun to play.

The problem

The "learn to play"button does not work, when you go to the next screen the car does not show up. Would be better if you had a camera that scrolled instead of moving screens.

i don't even know how to fight him and he just exits the screen, i don't even know how im taking damage but i just lose as soon as he leaves the screen.

Pretty good

i would say this is a good game, great graphics, nice music, controls are somewhat responsive, it takes time to click on something sometimes.no bugs though, it's good but it's not the kind of game that will last forever. With only two game modes and no levels or obstacles it gets boring over time.

pretty funny

it was an entertaining catch game, very funny all the things he says, but the jump is delayed. i press spacebar and have to wait for a little while.
other than that the game is pretty fun.

This is a good game, smooth animations, the retro feel 80's music captures the vibe of playing on an arcade cabinet.
Enemies get knocked back when i shoot them sometimes which is good, but it got kind of annoying when i fought the bosses as they just got knocked back out of sight of the screen.
Then ship moves too slow to be a high intensity arcade shooter like it's suppose to be and it's not nearly as hard since im not being showed by bullets, but again thats a good thing as the ship moves pretty slow. Still the game is way too easy as i can just hold the space bar the whole time.
As for pickups it's pretty helpful that they are permanent even after i die but this doesn't help the game become more challenging.
Also i think there was only ONE boss battle this whole game on level 3, not even the last level had one just said "congrats. you win; enter name"
Hardly a good ending.

there is a problem

When i blow things up they tend to stay behind, like they leave a crater and stuff, still no music and i can literally just exit the screen completely now.

not sure how to fix the first one without taking the explosion out completely. and like i said in the response below im working on music, and ill just create a wall or something to keep you from going off screen.

A problem

Music is alright as far as the game goes, however there is a problem that the music loops when i get game over while the music is still playing.....so the music plays twice at the same time it sounds really weird. Also earning money is weird sometimes i had $520 and it dropped all the way to $20 sometimes hitting a snowman takes away sometimes it adds etc.

beautiful game, kinda buggy

This game has the most fantastic visuals i have ever seen in a flash game, i was very impressed but the real problems stuck when i actually started to play.
i actually did not make it past the first AI character for a number of reasons:
1.)my punch and high kick can't reach him
2.)if by luck my attacks do hit him he is perma stuck blocking....forever
Even as i write this review he is still blocking and im not even doing anything.
Perhaps a low attack would work here......Movement feels out of place too.
