My mind likes to wander alot. I'm very optimistic and don't like to pay attention to anything thats boring to me. Don't get me wrong, I do pay attention if I have to, say if it's a job or a test I do what im suppose to and I work hard, my grades reflect that. Still when im very bored or simply just walking my mind wanders. Like there was a fight at school, everybody ran to it like moths to a flame, but all I could think about was that episode of "freeman's mind" I saw the other day.

I like freeman's mind. That's an awesome show.

But it's not over yet. Now, the threat of nuclear war is upon us. You gotta hand it to those terrorists, they sure can't lose with grace.....

Hey Newgrounds. You may not have noticed but I have not been on for the past 2 days, maybe 3, well I was moving, had to shut down the internet. I'm at my new house now, just got the internet set up today. Glad to be back. I missed some stuff (Looking at Wade's new icon) but it's okay, you guys don't have to tell me how much you missed me. But you should anyways.

This sonic rant has been updated because the last one didn't have very much support and it just looked like the cries of a nostalgic gamer. This time the post has more meat on it's bones and hopefully i can touch down on some things that would AT LEAST trigger conversation. im tired of having 4 comments.

SONIC ADVENTURE 2! i remember playing this game as a kid. i was always a fan of the soundtrack. i remember i would wander around the level just to listen to the songs abit longer. Here's one such example (with some gameplay footage).

i think this one along with Sonic colors are the best 3D Sonic games ever made. Why?
Because this one didn't experiment with terrible mechanics that shouldn't be in a Sonic game! at least not all the time. Unlike most Sonic games this one was finished, the bugs and camera work, faulty as it may be was considered "polished" back in the day. it's an epitome to how the standards have been raised since 2004(i think 2004...2005? i dunno).

Now unlike most Sonic fanboys im not going to say "the reason Sonic games suck now is because it's not about speed DERP!" Well you would be wrong, i agree speed is Sonics trademark and it is exhilarating to blast through stages at break neck speed but the main thing that also makes Sonic great is the platforming. Not only that but the LEVEL DESIGN. Something that isn't very well in modern Sonic games.
Now in Sonic adventure you got to play as Knuckles, hunting for master emerald shards. Was it stupid fast? if you wanted it to be, but NO those levels were mainly about platforming and level design. They were made so they would stay exciting and fun.
The main problem with trying something new in newer Sonic games is they tried it new BADLY.
Now i vaguely remember in some missions for SA2 you could play as tails and you used A GUN. This wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't just point a laser and BOOM. There isn't even AIM or strategy! Just point and FUUUUUUUUUU-
Sonic with the werewolf(or hog?) Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if playing as the werehog was....fun. it was a repetitive beat em' up with nothing going for it.

i am getting nostalgic because i played the miserable piece of shit that is know as Sonic adventure director edition DX for PS3.
That game was terrible, i don't understand why it's so praised and Sonic adventure 2 isn't.
it has all the problems sonic has now, bad coding, awful camera, strange glitches, even for it's time THEY were bad, i didn't even feel like i had no sense of control, I COULDN'T EVEN RUN IN A STRAIGHT LINE! Sonic looked drunk off his ass, and it had shitty graphics to go along with it and the worst music you will ever hear in a Sonic game. And lets not forget the voice acing.....YEAH, i went there, it may from Japan and from 2003 but that voice acting.....NO EXCUSE! Resident evil 1 had better!
People need to take off their nostalgia blinds.

i play Sonic adventure 2 now, the music is still catchy, platforming still good, camera was flimsy, then again back in it's day, standards change.....

i can't play Sonic adventure 2 often, it's at my cousins house for his gamecube who lives in Pasadena.
(just google map it, it's very far from Redlands)
i want them to make a remake for Sonic adventure 2 in the playstation store, just like they did with the first one. At least that would break the trend of fucking up SEGA has done so much in the past years with Sonic (thought they are redeeming themselves slowly)

OH YEAH, and the bonus missions for SA2 weren't "OMG weeds are growing everywhere, gotta go cut them!" like in SA1, the mission were like "Get to the end even faster" or "beat the ghost character!" Keep that in mind when you play SA1.....

As you can tell im a pretty musical person and i have different taste in music than most people.
i really just listen to anything that sounds good.
As for my art (if you even look at it) it sucks because i have a bad tablet pen, trust me i draw Waaaay better in real life.

My month of going fab is over, back to light aura. So other than that im probably just going to work on stuff in FL studios, i got it now but im still learning.
Youtube needs better tutorials man.
Oh yeah and i played Fallout 3 the other day. im barely at Megaton or whatever that old rundown town is called.
